In 2003, the Boglietto airstrip was probably the first to organize an event, named "Didabili Volando Insieme", focused to offer disabled children their first flight experience. This type of periodic event was later introduced by a number of other airports all over Italy. Among the first was the Turin Aero Club which for many years has organized "In Volo per un Sorriso" in collaboration with welfare institutions and the help of volunteers. On Saturday September 20, 2025, the fleet of the Aero Club and a number of Turin-based private aircraft offered flight opportunities to some 50 children and their companions. Part of the hangar apron was arranged as a small playfield and a meeting point with information tables was available at an adjacent hangar.
