Due mesi dopo aver siglato un ordine fermo per sei turboelica da 50 posti Bombardier Q300, la compagnia australiana Qantas Airways, con base a Sydney, ha ordinato un ulteriore Q300 da utilizzare sulle rotte regionali operate con il marchio QantasLink. L'ordine annunciato oggi è la conferma dell'opzione che la Qantas aveva posto, all'atto dell'acquisto dei primi sei aerei, il 17 dicembre 2003.
Bombardier Aerospace è il maggior fornitore di aerei regionali nell'area Asia/Pacifico, con 154 turboelica della serie Q e bireattori CRJ attualmente in servizio da parte di 29 operatori in 12 paesi.

(Ndr: Bombardier Q300 è l'attuale denominazione commerciale del de Havilland DHC-8 Dash 8 Series 300, nome a suo tempo già cambiato in DHC-8 Q300).

Two months after placing a firm order for six Bombardier 50-seat Q300 turboprops, Qantas Airways of Sydney, Australia has ordered an additional Q300 aircraft for its QantasLink regional airline operation. The order announced today represents the conversion of an option Qantas obtained with its six-aircraft order announced on December 17, 2003.
Bombardier Aerospace is the leading supplier of aircraft to regional airlines in the Asia/Pacific region, with 154 of its Q Series turboprops and CRJ regional jets in service or ordered by 29 operators in 12 countries.
