Glenn E. Hess, a veteran aerospace executive of The Boeing Co., has been named President and of Bell Helicopter, it was announced by John R. Murphey, Bell's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
Hess will be responsible for managing Bell's engineering, manufacturing, procurement and material management operations, and fills a post at Bell that has been vacant since Murphey was elevated to the Chairman and CEO position in September of last year. Hess, 52, previously was Vice President/General Manager of Boeing's Military Aerospace Support Maintenance and Modification Business Unit in San Antonio, Texas.
