I rappresentanti degli azionisti del consorzio Eurofighter hanno nominato Alberto Jose Gutierrez Moreno Chief Executive Officer (CEO) di Eurofighter Jagdflugzeug GmbH e Maurizio De Mitri, Senior Vice President Military Aircraft Sector di Alenia Aermacchi, Chairman del Supervisory Board, con decorrenza dal 1° giugno 2013.
Gutierrez Moreno succederà ad Enzo Casolini, che è stato a capo del consorzio europeo fin dal 1° maggio 2009. Nell’ambito del processo di rotazione delle nomine, Maurizio De Mitri succederà invece a Berndt Wünsche che, ricoperta la carica di Chairman del Supervisory Board dal gennaio 2012, rimarrà “senior member” del consiglio nelle sue qualità di Head of Combat Air Systems in Cassidian.
Alberto Gutierrez proviene dalla spagnola Airbus Military, dove dal luglio 2007 ha ricoperto il ruolo di Head of Operations, con responsabilità connesse alla produzione dell’A400M e dei programmi A330 tanker, C295, CN235 e dell’aggiornamento dell’aereo antisom P-3.
Nato nel 1962, Gutierrez ha iniziato la sua carriera professionale nel 1985 presso lo stabilimento della allora CASA a Getafe, nella periferia di Madrid. Dopo aver ricoperto varie posizioni come gestore di programmi e di produzioni, dal 2000 al 2004 è stato Production Director per l’Eurofighter, responsabile della supply chain dell’ala destra dell’EF 2000, della linea di assemblaggio finale a Getafe e della consegna del velivolo alla Forza Aerea spagnola. Dal 2006 al 2007 è stato Head of Military Production of Military Air Systems, responsabile della produzione a Manching, Augsburg, Lemwerder e Getafe. Dal 2007 al 2009 ha anche ricoperto la carica di Head of Global Supply Chain & Industrial Operations presso la Military Transport Aircraft Division di Airbus. Nella sua attività di membro di comitati di gestione e di consigli di amministrazione di società controllate o partecipate - come ad esempio nella polacca PZL (già PZL-Okecie), di cui è stato Chairman del Supervisory Board o dello Steering Committee della PTDI per la riorganizzazione dell’industria aerospaziale indonesiana - Alberto Gutierrez ha accumulato una considerevole esperienza internazionale.
Alberto Gutierrez ha così commentato la sua nomina: “Questa nuova posizione è per me una grossa sfida all’apice della mia carriera. The shareholder representatives of the Eurofighter consortium have appointed Alberto Jose Gutierrez Moreno as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Eurofighter Jagdflugzeug GmbH and Maurizio De Mitri, who is currently Senior Vice President Military Aircraft Sector at Alenia Aermacchi, as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board with effect from 1 June 2013.
Alberto Gutierrez will succeed Enzo Casolini who has led the European consortium since 1 May 2009. According to the rotation principle, Mr. De Mitri will follow Berndt Wünsche who has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board and who remains Senior Member of the Supervisory Board in his function as Head of Combat Air Systems at Cassidian.
Alberto Gutierrez has held the position of Head of Operations at Airbus Military in Madrid since July 2007 where his responsibilities covered the production of the A400M military transport aircraft, A330 tanker, C295, CN235 and P3 antisubmarine aircraft. Born in 1962, Mr. Gutierrez began his professional career in 1985 at the CASA Getafe plant, in the Madrid area. After holding several positions as a programmes and production manager, he became Eurofighter Production Director from 2000 to 2004, responsible for the supply chain of the EF 2000 right wing, the final assembly line in Getafe, and the delivery of the combat aircraft to the Spanish Air Force. From 2006 to 2007, he was Head of Military Production of Military Air Systems and in charge of the overall manufacturing work at Manching, Augsburg, Lemwerder and Getafe. From 2007 to 2009, Mr. Gutierrez was Head of Global Supply Chain & Industrial Operations at the Military Transport Aircraft division of Airbus. As a member of several shareholder committees, Alberto Gutierrez also gathered international experiences, for instance, as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Polish manufacturer PZL (former PZL-Okecie) and as a member of the PTDI Steering Committee for the revitalization of the Indonesian aerospace industry.
Commenting on his appointment, Alberto Gutierrez said: “This new job is a great challenge for me at the peak in my career.
