L'11 febbraio 2003, la JetBlue Airways, vettore low-fare con base a New York, ha convertito due opzioni per A 320 in ordini fermi, portando il totale dei velivoli di questo tipo ordinati a 78, compresi quelli già consegnati. I nuovi aerei entreranno in servizio verso la fine di quest'anno. Entrambi saranno spinti da turbofan IAE V2500, motori standard della flotta "tutta A 320" della JetBlue. Quest'ultimo ordinativo porterà a 52 il numero di aerei consegnati alla JetBlue entro la fine del 2003.

La compagnia libanese Middle East Airlines (MEA), il 17 febbraio scorso, ha preso in consegna il primo dei sei A 321 che le saranno consegnati durante il 2003. Dai primi anni '90 la MEA utilizza già una flotta di aerei di linea Airbus, ma a noleggio: questi esemplari saranno progressivamente rimpiazzati da quelli di proprietà in arrivo. Nell'ambito del suo programma di modernizzazione della flotta, quest'anno la MEA prenderà anche a noleggio tre nuovi bireattori a fusoliera larga A 330-200. Gli A 321 della Middle East Airlines, motorizzati con IAE V2533, sono configurati con 31 posti in prima classe e 118 in economica, tutti dotati di schermo TV individuale.

Il tour operator integrato europeo Thomas Cook AG ha ricevuto, lo scorso 27 febbraio, il primo Airbus A 320 dipinto con i nuovi colori del gruppo. Si tratta del 25° aereo della Airbus ad entrare a far parte della flotta Thomas Cook, che comprende già 22 A 320 e due A 330-200 operati da Condor Berlin, Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium e JMC Airlines. L'esemplare appena consegnato entrerà in linea con la Thomas Cook Belgium che lo utilizzerà per voli charter da Bruxelles verso le località turistiche del Mediterraneo.

Il capo azienda della Qatar Airways, Akbar Al-Baker, ha annunciato il 28 febbraio 2003 che la compagnia aerea utilizzerà il suo secondo Airbus Corporate Jetliner (ACJ) in una configurazione tipo A 319 a lungo raggio. L'aereo, battezzato "Oryx Long Range", avrà una cabina allestita su due classi, per un totale di 110 posti, e verrà consegnato a metà anno. Il primo ACJ della Qatar' - "Oryx Express" - è entrato in servizio a metà del 2001 con un lussuoso allestimento interno da 36 posti. Con un'ora di lavoro è anche possibile installare a bordo, al posto di due sedili ed un ripostiglio, un'unità aeromedica per il trasporto di malati gravi.

On February 11, 2003, New York low-fare carrier JetBlue Airways has signed a contract converting two A 320 options to firm orders, bringing its total number of this type of aircraft on order to 78, including those already delivered. Deliveries of these newly ordered aircraft are scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year (2003). Both will be powered by IAE V2500 engines, like the rest of the JetBlue all A 320 fleet. This newest order and the subsequent deliveries will bring JetBlue's total fleet size to 52 aircraft by the end of the year.

Middle East Airlines (MEA) of Lebanon has taken delivery on February 17, 2003, of the first of six A 321s scheduled for delivery during the year 2003 from Airbus. The airline already operates a leased Airbus fleet since the early '90s, which the new aircraft will progressively replace. MEA will also integrate three new leased long-range widebody twin A 330-200s, due for delivery this year, as part of its fleet modernisation plan. Middle East Airlines' A 321s, powered by IAE V2533 engines, feature a luxurious seating for 31 passengers in business class and 118 in economy, with personal television screens for everyone.

The integrated European leisure group Thomas Cook AG took delivery on February 27, 2003, of its first new Airbus A 320 painted in its own livery. This is the 25th Airbus aircraft to join the Thomas Cook fleet, which already comprises 22 A 320s and two A 330-200s operated by Condor Berlin, Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium and JMC Airlines. This A 320 will be operated by Thomas Cook Belgium from Brussels airport and will serve holiday destinations around the Mediterranean.

Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer, Akbar Al-Baker, on February 28, 2003, announced that the airline is going to operate its second Airbus Corporate Jetliner (ACJ) configured for A 319 Long Range operations. The aircraft, named "Oryx Long Range", will feature a two-class cabin layout for up to 110 passengers and will enter service in mid 2003. Qatar's first ACJ, carrying the name "Oryx Express", is in operation with the airline since mid 2001and is configured to accommodate 36 passengers. An Air Medical Unit can be fitted in approximately one hour in place of two seats and stowage.
