Il 21 giugno, la Boeing ha consegnato il primo di dieci nuovi F-15E Strike Eagle attualmente in produzione per l'U.S. Air Force. Si tratta del 227° Strike Eagle costruito nello stabilimento di St. Louis. Con quest'ultimo lotto il totale degli F-15E consegnati salirą a 236. La linea di produzione sarą poi mantenuta attiva per qualche anno con gli F-15K ordinati di recente dalla Repubblica di Corea.
Al termine di lunghe valutazioni per la scelta del suo prossimo caccia "F-X", il 19 aprile scorso la Corea del Sud ha annunciato di voler finalizzare un contratto con la Boeing per la fornitura di 40 F-15K, relativi armamenti e supporto. Il primo eseplare sarą consegnato nel 2005, e l'ultimo nel 2008. L'F-15K rappresenta una evoluzione dell' F-15E attualmente in linea con l'USAF, e disporrą di tutte le pił avanzate tecnologie disponibili. Tra queste il radar APG-63(V)1, un sistema FLIR (Forward Looking Infrared) di terza generazione, casco "intelligente" per il pilota ed un sistema di gestione armamento per munizionamento aggiornato: le bombe JDAM (Joint Direct Attack Munition), lo SLAM-ER (Standoff Land Attack Missile-Expanded Response), l'AMRAAM (Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile) ed il missile aria-aria a corto raggio AIM-9X Sidewinder.

On June 21 Boeing delivered the first of 10 new F-15E Strike Eagles it's currently producing for the U.S. Air Force. The aircraft is the 227th Strike Eagle built at the company's St. Louis facility. This last batch will increase to 236 the total number of E models delivered. The new F-15Ks for the Republic of Korea will keep on the production line in the coming years.
The Republic of Korea, after completing its F-X fighter aircraft evaluation, announced April 19, 2002 it will finalize a contract with Boeing for 40 F-15Ks and associated weapons and support. The first F-15K will be delivered during 2005, the last in 2008. The F-15K is an advanced derivative of the U.S. Air Force F-15E and will incorporate the latest military technologies. These include the APG-63(V)1 radar, a third-generation forward looking infrared system, a helmet-mounted cueing system, and weapons-control systems that support advanced weapons such as the Joint Direct Attack Munition, or JDAM, Standoff Land Attack Missile-Expanded Response, or SLAM-ER, Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile, or AMRAAM, and AIM-9X Sidewinder short range air-to-air missile.
