Embraer e Luxair hanno annunciato di aver siglato un protocollo commerciale che porterà il vettore lussemburghese ad attivare una opzione per due ERJ-135, ed a porre una ulteriore opzione per un terzo esemplare. In base alla proposta, Luxair firmerà il contratto per le due opzioni nelle prossime settimane, in modo da ricevere i due aerei da 37 posti nel primo trimestre del 2005.
Luxair, che attualmente utilizza una flotta di otto ERJ-145 (battezzati dalla compagnia "Eurojet"), intende inserire i due nuovi ERJ-135 su rotte che richiedono maggiore autonomia, oltre a collegare Città del Lussemburgo con il piccolo aeroporto London City (LCY) sulla riva del Tamigi. Al 30 giugno 2004, la famigla ERJ 145 ha accumulato 920 ordini fermi e 446 opzioni.

Embraer and Luxair have announced today the signature of a commercial proposal to exercise two ERJ-135s options and to include one more option for an aircraft of the same type in Embraer's orderbook. Under such proposal, Luxair shall be firming up the two ERJ-135 options in the following weeks, with deliveries of the 37-seat airplane taking place in the first quarter of 2005.
Luxair is currently operating a fleet of eight ERJ-145s dubbed "Eurojet" and now intends to use these two additional ERJ-135s on its network for longer routes and to serve London City airport (LCY) from Luxembourg. As of June 30, 2004, the ERJ 145 family had logged 920 firm orders and 446 options.
