Venti B.737-800 per Singapore Aircraft Leasing
Il lessor Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise (SALE) ha esercitato opzioni e diritti d’acquisto per un totale di venti Boeing B.737-800. Il contratto, dal valore di listino di 1,4 miliardi di dollari, fa seguito ad accordi siglati a maggio 2005 ed aprile 2006, per complessivi trenta esemplari. Il nuovo ordine, finalizzato nel dicembre scorso, era compreso - nel totale degli ordini 2006 - tra quelli dei clienti “anonimi”.
I nuovi aerei saranno consegnati tra il 2009 ed il 2011. Come in occasione di precedenti contratti con la SALE, i B.737-800 sono previsti in configurazione base, ma l’accordo consente di passare ad altri modelli della gamma B.737 Next-Generation. (comunicato stampa Boeing dell’8 gennaio 2007)
UPS Airlines ordina 27 B.767 merci
UPS Airlines, divisione della United Parcel Service Company e maggiore compagnia aerea specializzata nei piccoli colli, ha confermato un ordine per 27 Boeing B.767-300ER Freighter, che quasi raddoppierà il numero degli esemplari in flotta. I nuovi velivoli, spinti da turbofan General Electric CF6-80C2, saranno consegnati tra il 2009 ed il 2012.
Non secondario il fatto che quest’ultima commessa porta il numero dei B.767 finora ordinati a quota 1.005, di cui 77 in versione cargo. Con più di mille esemplari ordinati, il B.767 si colloca con l’elite degli aerei Boeing come 707, 727, 737, 747, 757 ed i modelli della serie MD-80 (ex McDonnell Douglas).
Si tratta del terzo ordine della statunitense UPS Airlines per il B.767-300ER Freighter: Il primo ordine venne siglato nel nel 1993, per 30 esemplari, e rappresentò l’ordine di lancio per la versione merci del 767. Nel 2000 seguì una ulteriore commessa per due aerei. UPS Airlines introdusse in servizio il B.767-300ER Freighter nel 1995.
Nel 2005, UPS Airlines ha ordinato alla Boeing otto quadrigetti B.747-400 Freighter, il primo dei quali sarà consegnato a metà 2007. Infine la compagnia USA è cliente Boeing anche per il B.747-400 BCF (Boeing Converted Freighter). (comunicato stampa Boeing del 15 febbraio 2007)
Terzo ordine Air New Zealand per il Dreamliner
Air New Zealand ha finalizzato un ordine per altri quattro Boeing B.787-9, decisione già anticipata lo scorso dicembre. Si tratta del terzo ordine dell’aerolinea australe per il Dreamliner. Con l’odierna commessa, Air New Zealand ha già ordinato un totale di otto B.787-9 Dreamliner. Le consegne di questi quattro aerei, dal valore di circa 700 milioni di dollari, avverranno nel periodo 2011-2013.
Air New Zealand fu la seconda compagnia aerea ad ordinare il B.787, avendo piazzato il suo ordine iniziale, per due macchine, nel 2004. L’anno seguente, il vettore ordinò altri due Dreamliner. Il primo esemplare verrà consegnato già nel 2010. Dall’aprile 2004, quando il Dreamliner venne lanciato sul mercato, la Boeing ha già ricevuto 468 ordini ed impegni d’acquisto da parte di 37 operatori. (comunicato stampa Boeing del 19 febbraio 2007)
LOT prende un altro Dreamliner
LOT - Polskie Linie Lotnicze ha aumentato di un esemplare il suo ordine per il Boeing B.787 Dreamliner, portando il totale ad otto bireattori. Nel 2005, la compagnia polacca LOT aveva ordinato i primi sette Dreamliner, con “posizioni di consegna” previste a partire dal 2008.
I Dreamliner sono destinati a sostituire i Boeing B.767 attualmente utilizzati dal vettore polacco. La transazione odierna ha un valore di 153 milioni di dollari a prezzo di listino. (comunicato stampa Boeing del 19 febbraio 2007)

Twenty B.737-800s For Singapore Aircraft Leasing
Lessor Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise (SALE) has exercised options and purchase rights for 20 Boeing B.737-800s. The agreement, valued at US$1.4 billion at list prices, follows previous orders in May 2005 and April 2006 for a total of thirty B.737s. The new order, finalized in December, was included in 2006 order totals and attributed to an unidentified customer.
The new airplanes are scheduled for delivery between 2009 and 2011. As with previous orders by SALE, the B.737-800 is the baseline model specified, but the agreement provides for conversions to other Next-Generation 737 family models. (Boeing press release January 8, 2007)
UPS Airlines Orders 27 B.767 Freighters
UPS Airlines, division of United Parcel Service Company and world's largest package delivery company, confirmed order for 27 Boeing B.767-300ER Freighters, destined to nearly double the UPS B.767 Freighter fleet. The new airplanes, powered by General Electric CF6-80C2 turbofans, are slated for delivery beginning in 2009, extending into 2012.
In addition, the new order pushes the total number of B.767s ordered to date to 1,005 airplanes, 77 of which are freighters. With more than 1,000 total orders, the B.767 joins an elite group of airplanes that includes Boeing's 707, 727, 737, 747, 757 and MD-80 models of the former McDonnell Douglas.
This is the third order by UPS Airlines of USA for B.767-300ER Freighters, the first coming in 1993 with the model's launch order for 30 airplanes, and the second in late 2000 for two airplanes. UPS introduced the B.767-300ER Freighter into service in 1995. In 2005, UPS Airlines also ordered eight B.747-400 Freighters, the first of which will be delivered about midyear 2007. In addition, the carrier is a customer for the B.747-400 BCF (Boeing Converted Freighter). (Boeing press release February 15, 2007)
Air New Zealand Places Third Order for Dreamliner
Air New Zealand has finalized an order for four additional Boeing B.787-9s, following on from the airline's announcement in December that it would be placing an order. This is the airline's third order for the Dreamliner. With today's announcement, Air New Zealand has ordered a total of eight B.787-9 Dreamliners. Deliveries of these four airplanes will take place from 2011 through 2013.
Air New Zealand was the second airline to order the B.787, placing its initial order for two airplanes in 2004. The following year, the airline ordered two additional Dreamliners. The first of the airline's B.787s will be delivered in 2010. Boeing now has 468 orders and commitments from 37 customers for the Dreamliner since its launch in April 2004. LOT Takes One More Dreamliner
LOT - Polskie Linie Lotnicze (Polish Airlines) has increased its Boeing B.787 Dreamliner order by one additional aircraft, bringing its total order for the type to eight airplanes. In 2005, LOT placed an order for seven aircraft, with delivery positions beginning in 2008.
The Dreamliners are destined to replace the Boeing B.767s currently operated by the Polish airline. Today's order is valued at $153 million at list prices. (Boeing press release February 19, 2007)
