Astral Aviation, che opera con la denominazione Skyway Airlines ed è un vettore sussidiario della Midwest Express Airlines, ha ordinato alla Fairchild Dornier altri quattro bireattori 328JET più 10 opzioni. La commessa ha un valore complessivo di 177 milioni di dollari.
Skyway Airlines, che dispone già di otto 328JETs, riceverà il primo dei nuovi aerei ordinati nel gennaio 2002 ed i restanti saranno tutti in linea entro dicembre del prossimo anno. Skyway è stato il cliente di lancio del 328JET in Nord America, avendo ricevuto il primo aereo di questo tipo nell'agosto 1999. Con il nuovo ordine, la flotta della Skyway salirà a dodici 328JET e, se le opzioni saranno esercitate, a 22.
La famiglia di aerei a getto regionali della Fairchild Dornier comprenderà presto i nuovi 728JET da 70-85 posti e 928JET da 90-110 posti in configurazione per le compagnie aeree. Entrambi saranno anche disponibili con allestimenti interni "corporate shuttle", adatti al trasporto navetta di personale aziendale.

Astral Aviation, Inc., d/b/a Skyway Airlines, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Midwest Express Airlines, has placed an order with Fairchild Dornier for four additional 328JETs and 10 options. The order is valued at $177 million.
Skyway Airlines, which currently operates eight 328JETs, will take delivery of the first of these new aircraft in January 2002, and the remaining three aircraft by December 2002. Skyway was Fairchild Dornier's launch customer for the aircraft in North America, taking delivery of its first 328JET in August 1999. With the new orders, the Skyway 328JET fleet will grow to 12 aircraft by December 2002, and with the exercise of the options, to 22 aircraft.
The Fairchild Dornier family of regional airliners includes the state-of-the-art 728JET and 928JET. The 728JET comes in 70-85 seat airline configurations, while the 928JET comes in 90-110 seat airline configurations. Both are available in corporate shuttle configurations.
