L’aeroporto di Cuneo/Levaldigi ha celebrato con la compagnia aerea low-cost Air Arabia Maroc il quindicesimo anniversario del volo Cuneo-Casablanca, un collegamento che negli anni ha rafforzato i rapporti tra la provincia di Cuneo e il Marocco. Introdotta nel 2011, la rotta ha fatto molto più che collegare due città: ha costruito relazioni tra culture, favorito opportunità di business e aperto nuovi orizzonti, anche turistici, per migliaia di viaggiatori. Durante la stagione estiva 2026, Air Arabia Maroc opererà due frequenze settimanali, ogni martedì e sabato, con Airbus A 320 da 174 posti in classe unica. Il bacino di traffico comprende non solo il Piemonte meridionale ma anche la vicina Liguria. Da Torino sono effettuati due servizi con autobus, soprannominati “Aerobus”, dalla stazione Lingotto in coincidenza con l’arrivo e la partenza dei voli. Da notare che da Torino/Caselle la compagnia di bandiera Royal Air Maroc opera anch’essa dei collegamenti da Caselle a Casablanca.

Nel volgere di pochi anni il vettore ha dato vita ad alcune consorelle locali come Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, Air Arabia Egypt, Air Arabia Jordan, Air Arabia Sudan e Air Arabia Maroc che ha iniziato l’attività il 6 maggio 2007. Oggi l’attività è incentrata all’aeroporto Mohammed V International di Casablanca e la flotta comprende una decina di Airbus A 320. All’evento di Levaldigi sono stati invitati alcuni redattori di Aeromedia che hanno ammirato l’arrivo del volo SO481 da Casablanca e il decollo del volo di ritorno SO482. Nell’occasione hanno avuto l’opportunità di fotografare altri aerei presenti come due dei quattro DHC-8-402 della Sky Alps accantonati da tempo a Levaldigi. Molto attivi nello stesso aeroporto un Diamond DA40 Diamond Star e due Diamond DA40D Diamond Star operati dalla scuola volo Aero Locarno che stavano effettuando un ciclo addestrativo a Levaldigi.)

Cuneo/Levaldigi Airport celebrated the fifteenth anniversary of the Cuneo-Casablanca flight with low-cost airline Air Arabia Maroc, a connection that over the years has strengthened ties between the province of Cuneo and Morocco. Introduced in 2011, the route has done much more than connect two cities: it has built connections between cultures, fostered business opportunities, and opened new horizons, including tourism, for thousands of travellers. During the 2026 summer season, Air Arabia Maroc will operate two weekly flights, every Tuesday and Saturday, with 174-seat Airbus A320 aircraft in a single-class configuration. The flight catchment area includes not only southern Piedmont but also neighboring Liguria. Two bus services, nicknamed "Aerobus," operate from Turin/Lingotto station, coinciding with flight arrivals and departures. It's worth noting that from Turin/Caselle, the national airline Royal Air Maroc also operates flights from Caselle to Casablanca.

Some Aeromedia editors were invited to the Levaldigi event, where they admired the arrival of flight SO481 from Casablanca and the take-off of the return flight SO482. On this occasion they had the opportunity to photograph other aircraft present, such as two of the four Sky Alps DHC-8-402s that have been stored for some time in Levaldigi. Very active at the same airport were a Diamond DA40 Diamond Star and two Diamond DA40D Diamond Star operated by the Aero Locarno flight school which were carrying out a training cycle at Levaldigi.)
